Zak Hermann spent years teaching History in New York City's public schools — where he learned something essential: the best way to understand where we are is to understand where we've been.
That belief took him across the world to study art firsthand — not in textbooks, but in the actual rooms, churches, and galleries where it lives. From the Louvre to the Hermitage, from the Uffizi to the Rijksmuseum, Zak has stood in front of the originals and asked the same questions he now asks his guests: What were they feeling? What were they afraid of? What were they trying to say?
He holds a Master's degree and brings the same passion to a first-time museum visitor as he brought to his students in the classroom: everyone deserves to feel the power of great art. No background required. No intimidation allowed.
After booking, Zak will reach out personally within 24 hours to confirm your date, time, and meeting point at the museum entrance.
All tours are capped at 6 guests to keep the experience intimate. You'll never be rushed, and no question is too basic.
